Wellbeing Workshops & Events

This 3 hour workshop has been adapted to suit those working with community groups, vulnerable individuals or who have an interest in supporting the mental wellbeing of the Wanaka community. We should let you know that, much as we would like to, we won’t fix your problems. No matter how stressful your life has been or is now, you will feel better equipped to meet the challenges you are facing and look at things more positively and optimistically.
Relaxing painting sessions encourage exploration of innermost feelings and expressions in living color. You will use the brush to share your personal journey through visual art. All materials, set up and wellbeing workshops take down, and end of workshop report with both quantitative and qualitative data collection suitable for grant applications are included. Develop positive coping strategies towards personal stressors.

Many people who lost someone to suicide wished they could have done more to help. This workshop will teach you how to recognize the warning signs for someone at risk for suicide as well as how to help keep them stay safe and connected to resources. 1 in every 6.8 people experience mental health problems in the workplace and 12.7% of all sickness absence in the UK can be attributed to mental health conditions. They can be used for professional development, staff training, teaching sets and any other purpose that pertains to increasing individual´s skills, awareness, professional interactions and wellbeing.
Would you like to find ways to have academic/work/life balance? If so, participating in this workshop will help you identify your stressors, time lapses, and procrastination habits. Participants will also learn about ways to use their time wisely, manage their stress, and ways to have fun, even remotely. This series of events, free to attend online, is designed to support us through these challenges as we learn to live through these challenging times. Looking through a camera distracts us from past or future concerns. We quite literally focus on what we see before us, in the present moment.
If our construct of reality is negative then it will be reflected in our interactions with others, our belief in ourselves, and it will taint our perspective of our ability to flourish in life. In this workshop, participants will learn how to apply the CDA approach to help improve their engagement with themselves, others, and their work while enhancing their overall psychological well-being. We will review definitions of individual and collective trauma, emphasizing its ubiquity and the importance of trauma sensitivity in impact-driven work. Participants will practice responding to signals of distress in others and themselves, plus develop an action plan for their unique field site. We will discuss the risks of vicarious trauma for impact-driven professionals, and explore self-care strategies for prevention. Everyone deserves to thrive in a mentally healthy workplace.
Attending the server/host training is the first step to becoming a certified server/host at events. Global citizenship is the centre of everything we do at CIS to support our members. People may be living longer but the number of people spending their later years in poor health is increasing.

The workshops will each focus on a different wellbeing area and cover why that area is important, how you can manage it and will offer a practical aspect that you can join in with. By the end of the workshop, you will have a better sense of your personal values and tools to manage your life differently. The book skillfully balances an engaging conversational tone with a depth of historical and theoretical grounding. You can watch the workshop with someone else, or take part alone. The registration page gives you the option to share the event and if you know someone who would be interested then please share the link with them. For nearly every month in 2021 we will be running a workshop themed around a specific wellbeing area. They’re open to all, not just FidlLeaf customers and they’re a great way of committing to your own personal growth this year. You are free to do more than one workshop and to repeat them as often as you like!

We know how to deliver top quality workshops and aim to get th ebest outcomes for all our participants. These are between 1 and 1 ½ hours and aim to give whole staff teams a wellbeing experience in the midst of a busy term. Positive steps by businesses to support women at this time in their life can impact engagement, productivity and wellbeing. Increase your knowledge of resources and build coping skills in certain areas of your life. This workshop will help you identify external stressors that cause or contribute to anxiety and learn how to take care of yourself.
This workshop will help you identify and challenge the thoughts and beliefs that keep you anxious. Uncover your symptoms and learn tangible skills to deal with them in the moment. If you are at an office or shared network, you can ask the network administrator to run a scan across the network looking for misconfigured or infected devices. If you are on a personal connection, like at home, you can run an anti-virus scan on your device to make sure it is not infected with malware. These films and lesson plans can be easily interwoven into your PSHE sessions. There are 3 films for each age group and each film is accompanied with a lesson plan with additional activities for further learning.
